The 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl is officially in the books after the National team beat the American squad, 27-10, on Saturday evening. Following a week of practice and drills designed to evaluate each individual athlete’s talents, this corps of graduating seniors now move on to the combines ahead of the 2023 NFL draft in late April.
Among those participating in this past week’s events was Florida’s consensus All-American offensive lineman [autotag]O’Cyrus Torrence[/autotag], who earned a mention in Draft Wire’s biggest winners at each position. Take a look below at what author Gavino Borquez had to offer on the lineman — who did not allow a single sack during his collegiate career — before Saturday’s game was played.
When isolated in pass protection in one-on-one drills, Torrence stymied his opponents with a great anchor, base, power absorption and the controlled footwork to mirror. But he was at his best, creating consistent movement in the run game, using his strength and hand strength to move defenders off the ball and cutting off linebackers at the second level.
The 2023 NFL draft is set to run from April 27 to 29 in Kansas City, Missouri, in the plaza outside of Union Station. The 88th edition of the amateur draft will be covered by ESPN, ABC, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Radio.
