Three-star wide receiver Harvey Broussard received a nice present on his 17th birthday: a scholarship offer to play football at Florida.

Three-star wide receiver [autotag]Harvey Broussard[/autotag] reeled in a Florida scholarship offer on his 17th birthday on Thursday. The Gators are the latest SEC school along with Arkansas, Ole Miss and Missouri to show interest in the Lousiana-based receiver. Broussard is ranked as the 623rd overall prospect and as the 84th best at his position, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Broussard told Gators Online that it wasn’t his first time connecting with head coach [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag]. They made contact when Napier was coaching at Louisiana-Lafayette.

The Gators’ coaching staff wants him to come visit the Swamp as soon as possible. Broussard doesn’t know when he will be able to but wants to take an unofficial and an official visit to Gainesville.

He added that Baylor, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Louisiana and Mississippi State as the schools recruiting him the hardest currently. Broussard said Florida is also a shoo-in to make his top five when he releases it.
