Florida masseuse involved in Robert Kraft case ordered to pay thousands

The Patriots owner had his charges dropped.

One of the odder situations in New England Patriots history happened last year when Robert Kraft was charged with soliciting sex.

The incident happened in Jupiter, Fla., in February of 2019 and it was a part of a wide-ranging investigation. Florida prosecutors couldn’t go through with the charges because the courts barred the video they had, so all charges were dropped against the Patriots owner in September this year.

Shen Mingbi, one of the masseuses at the Orchard of Asia Day Spa, wasn’t so fortunate. She pleaded guilty to soliciting another to commit prostitution and she will have to pay thousands of dollars to the Jupiter Police Department, according to Fox Business. Here are the specific amounts she was ordered to pay, per Fox Business.

Mingbi, 61, was ordered to pay $20,000 to the Jupiter Police Department, a $5,000 fine and more than $6,573 in fines and fees, according to WPTV and Reason. She was sentenced to one year of probation and 100 hours of community service.

Kraft pleaded not guilty in March of 2019 and immediately sent out an apology following the incident.
