Florida left out of latest Lunardi bracketology update

After starting SEC play 0-2, the Florida Gators are outside of ESPN’s latest bracketology projection. Hopefully, beating Arkansas changes that.

After spending most of the season on Joe Lunardi’s bracketology projections, the Florida Gators have moved outside the bubble in the latest update from ESPN.

Lunardi’s latest predictions come after Florida’s 0-2 start in SEC play, including a blowout at the hands of Ole Miss. Beating Arkansas should help Florida save face, but the Gators must beat Tennessee and/or Kentucky to get back into the race.

Right now, the Volunteers are the 2-seed in the Midwest Region and the Wildcats are the 3-seed in the South. Looking at the rest of the conference’s programs, Auburn is a 3-seed in the West; Alabama and Texas A&M control the 6 and 9-seeds in the East; the Rebels join the Vols in the Midwest as the 8-seed; and South Carolina makes the field of 68 as a play-in team for the 11-seed in the South.

The current No. 1 seeds are Arizona, Connecticut, Houston and Purdue.
