The Florida football team announced a total of six new positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total positive cases during the month of October to 37 as of Monday.
In the week following UF’s loss to Texas A&M, the team shut down football activities as a slew of positive cases led to the postponement of Florida’s games against LSU and Missouri, which were scheduled to take place the last two weekends.
Last Tuesday, the UAA announced that 25 players had tested positive between Oct. 12 and Oct. 19. Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said in his press conference on Oct. 14 that the accurate number of positive cases at that time was 21.
New #Gators COVID numbers. We knew of 31 positive cases (most of those are out of quarantine), so this shows 6 more positive cases for UF. pic.twitter.com/syda3r6gCV

With the bulk of the players who tested positive now out of quarantine, the Gators appear to be on track to have the minimum required 53 scholarship players available for their game against Missouri on Saturday night. But even as players return from quarantine, it appears that UF is still adding positive cases.
