Florida Gators athletic events impacted by Hurricane Milton

As a precaution for the potentially devastating storm, the Florida Gators athletics program made some alterations to accommodate Mother Nature’s fury.

Hurricane Milton has the Sunshine State in its crosshairs and is expected to make landfall sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. As a precaution for the potentially devastating storm, the Florida Gators athletics program made some alterations to accommodate Mother Nature’s fury.

The biggest impact will be made on the volleyball team, which had a home match scheduled against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Wednesday night. That will be played instead on Friday night inside the O’Connell Center.

The other major change came with the swim team, whose fall match against the Alabama Crimson Tide was canceled — much like the Nova Southeastern Sharks meet that was canceled due to Hurricane Helene.
