Florida football’s preseason practice open to public on Saturday

The gates open at 2 p.m. EDT if you’re interested in checking out today’s practice.

The Florida football team will hold an open practice Saturday, Aug. 5, inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, running from 2:30 p.m. EDT to 4:30 p.m. EDT. Admission is free to the general public.

Gates 1 and 6 will be unlocked at 2 p.m. EDT allowing fans to begin filling the stadium. Gate 18 will serve as the only exit point at the end of practice. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium’s gameday prohibited items and clear bag policy will be in effect.

Select concession stands will be open, offering snacks and drinks for purchase while the Gators Sportshop will also be open near Gate 9. Restrooms will be open throughout the main concourse of the stadium.

The Gators opened camp Sunday, July 30, and the team held its first practice of the 2023 season on Monday, July 31. Saturday’s event will be the only practice open to the public.

Florida opens its 2023 schedule on the road against the Utah Utes on Aug. 31, with a kickoff time of 8 p.m. EDT.
