Florida football hosts Kentucky commit for official visit this weekend

Florida is looking to flip this coveted offensive lineman from their SEC East rivals.

Billy Napier and Co. are looking to flip a current Southeastern Conference commit this weekend with an official visit to Gainesville. Three-star offensive tackle [autotag]Aba Selm[/autotag] out of Independence (Kentucky) is currently committed to the Kentucky Wildcats but apparently, there is some wiggle room before he puts his ink on the paper.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 295-pound lineman first piqued the Gators’ interest this past spring starting with a visit to his school from offensive coordinator Rob Sale. While it is unclear when an offer was extended by Florida, 247Sports reports that he does indeed have a scholarship extended to him from the Orange and Blue.

The rising high school senior committed to UK back in February and is reported to have taken part in Kentucky’s recruiting efforts in the time since. He also made an official visit to Lexington on June 9 — the only other OV he has scheduled for this month.

Selma is ranked No. 578 overall and No. 33 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 612 and 44, respectively.
