Florida dealing with crucial injuries against Georgia

Florida’s massive injury report against Georgia features injuries to the Gators top QB, WR, RB and CB

The Florida Gators have been bitten hard from the injury bug ahead of their matchup against Georgia in Jacksonville and another player has fallen to the injury plague. Cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. was declared out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

The senior defensive back suffered a labrum injury in the homecoming game against Kentucky, and he will require surgery on it. Up to this point, he’s started all seven games for the Gators and has been a four-year starter for Florida.

This is another injury to add to the injury troubles Florida has had to endure. Their original starting quarterback Graham Mertz suffered a torn ACL against Tennessee, ending his season.

Wide receiver Khaleil Jackson also suffered a torn ACL after the Miami game. Wide receiver Eugene Wilson is out against Georgia with a hip injury. Wilson, who hauled in a game-high 11 receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown last year versus Georgia, is Florida’s top receiving option.

Their top running back Montrell Johnson Jr. is questionable for the game, dealing with the same lower leg injury that took him out of the Kentucky game.

Overall, there are nine players out for the Gators, which is an unbelievable amount. Billy Napier will need his crew to have all hands on deck to end the streak of losses against Georgia.
