The Florida Gators are ranked No. 6 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll following a 10th-straight win to start the 2024-25 college basketball season.
Florida defeated Arizona State, 83-66, on Saturday to become one of three programs with a 10-0 record, the others being Oklahoma and Tennessee. It’s the Gators’ longest winning streak since 2013-14 when they won 30 straight games during the regular season.
The Orange and Blue have steadily climbed the Coaches Poll all year long, beginning the season at No. 21 in the preseason rankings, moving up to No. 19 (Week 1 and Week 2), jumping to No. 16 (Week 3), then No. 13 (Week 4) and No. 7 a week ago. Florida now leads No. 7 Alabama by nine poll points and trails the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils by 28 points.
The top three of Tennessee, Auburn and Iowa State held steady this week in the Coaches Poll. Marquette lost to Dayton and dropped from No. 4 to No. 9, allowing Kentucky, Duke, Florida and Alabama to each move up a spot. Kansas also made a jump, moving up two spots to No. 8 and Oregon rounds out the top 10.

The Arkansas Razorbacks (31), Georgia Bulldogs (23) and Missouri Tigers (18) all earned votes in this week’s poll as well but are outside the top 25.
