This year’s Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament held in Hoover, Alabama, has been plagued by inclement weather as a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico continues to dump a deluge on the Cotton State. The latest casualty of the persistent storms was the second-round matchup between the second-seeded Texas A&M Aggies and the seventh-seeded Florida Gators, who defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday night in extra innings, 2-1, to advance.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans on Wednesday, first soaking the No. 1-seed Tennessee Volunteers versus No. 8 Vanderbilt Commodores matchup earlier in the day before insisting upon clearing the Gator game off her schedule as well.

The Gators and Aggies will finally face off — weather permitting, of course — at 10:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday in a double-elimination Game 6 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The Vols-Vandy game will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the day’s opener while the LSU-Kentucky game is set to follow that with the same half-hour buffer in between.
