Florida baseball slips in latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for Week 11

Here’s where the Gators land after losing two of three on the road against Texas A&M this past weekend.

Florida baseball hit a wall last weekend on the road against the Texas A&M Aggies, who took two of three from the Gators in College Station. The Orange and Blue prevailed in the opener Friday night, 6-5, before getting mercy-ruled out of the second game, 15-2, and dropping the rubber match Sunday on a walk-off balk, 3-2.

The latest update of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for Week 11 saw the Orange and Blue fall one spot from fourth to fifth with a 37-12 overall record and 635 points in the poll. The lowest Florida has been listed this season so far is No. 6, which came in Week 2 after starting in the preseason poll at No. 5, and the highest at No. 3.

UF is joined by fellow Southeastern Conference schools LSU (No. 2), Arkansas (No. 3), Vanderbilt (No. 4), South Carolina (No. 7), Kentucky Wildcats (No. 16) and Tennessee Volunteers (No. 20) in this week’s top 25.
