Florida athletics places 111 on SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

The NCAA champion men’s track and field team matched its previous record for the second consecutive year and the third time since 2018.

Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey announced the league’s spring academic honor roll on Tuesday, with the University of Florida placing 111 student-athletes on the list.

The 2024 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2023-24 summer, fall and spring terms. The Gators placed a total of 312 student-athletes across those three terms, with 137 others coming in the fall and 64 coming in the winter.

The Orange and Blue were led by the NCAA champion men’s track and field team along with the lacrosse team — which reached the NCAA semifinals — with 26 players from each program. The former matched its previous record for the second consecutive year and the third time since 2018.

Florida’s NCAA Indoor & Outdoor runner-up women’s track & field team placed 19 on the Academic Honor Roll while the Gators’ College World Series baseball team saw 13 earning a spot on the team. Six from Florida’s Women’s College World Series semifinal softball team also earned spots on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Other sport honoree numbers included men’s golf (8), women’s golf (5), men’s tennis (2) and women’s tennis (6).
