Just a day remains before Florida football’s noontime matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road in Nashville, Tennessee, as the Gators wrap up their regular-season Southeastern Conference schedule against a long-time foe.
The visitors arrive having won their last two games in SEC play, including a dominating victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks in the final game of the season in the Swamp. The home team also comes in with some momentum having upset the Kentucky Wildcats on the road last weekend to snap their 26-game conference losing streak.
Florida has dominated the all-time series with a 43-10-2 record dating back to 1945. Interestingly, Vanderbilt won the first three games and held the series lead until 1962, when the Gators took the lead for good at seven games to six. The Commodores’ last win came back in 2013 when they snapped a 22-game losing streak in the Swamp, spoiling Florida’s homecoming game.
