Game day has finally arrived and with the matchup between the Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies getting off to an early start it is time to take one last gander at the betting odds ahead of kickoff. The lines have been fairly close and steady throughout the week, with the home team holding a three-ish point advantage in all of our updates.
Neither team has been impressive this season, both notching 1-4 records in SEC play. The Gators are slightly better than the Aggies overall, bringing an even 4-4 mark to the game against TAMU’s 3-5. The home team’s failures have been a bit harsher, however, having come into 2022 with lofty expectations and plenty of money spent.
Texas A&M holds a slight edge in the short series history with a 3-2 record, having won the last two straight and going 2-1 since entering the SEC. Prior to that, the two schools split their meetings with the Gators earning a home win in 1962 while the Aggies evened things up with a Sun Bowl win in El Paso, Texas, in 1976.
