The start time for the Tuesday, Jan 16, meeting between the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers inside Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee, has been moved back due to inclement weather while the broadcast information has also changed.
Previously, tipoff was scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and the game was set to broadcast on ESPN. With the recent changes, the game will now begin at 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN2, according to the team’s official schedule.
The Gators are 1-2 in SEC play so far, having lost to the Kentucky Wildcats and Ole Miss Rebeld but earning a blowout win over the Arkansas Razorbacks last time out. Now holding a pair of votes in the Coaches Poll and sitting at No. 49 in the NET rankings, Todd Golden is preparing his team for one of the toughest tests this season.
The Vols are 2-1 against fellow conference members after taking care of Ole Miss and the Georiga Bulldogs but a loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville sandwiched in between. Rick Barnes’ team is currently No. 6 in the NET, making this a Quadrant 1 game for Florida and Quad 2 for Tennessee.
