Florida at No. 2 on D1Baseball preseason rankings

D1Baseball.com is predicting another strong season from Florida’s baseball program. The Gators start the 2024 season ranked No. 2 overall.

After a runner-up finish to the 2023 college baseball season, the Florida Gators begin their 2024 season ranked in the same No. 2 spot.

According to the D1Baseball preseason rankings, which were released on Tuesday, the Gators are the second-best team in the country behind Wake Forest, but a lot will change between now and June.

Last year’s College World Series winner, LSU, checks in at No. 4 on the rankings, and Arkansas is expected to take a step forward in the No. 3 spot.

In total, eight SEC teams will start the season ranked. No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 8 Texas A&M and No. 9 Tennessee make it six top-10 programs for the conference, and No. 19 Alabama has a chance to move up quickly. South Carolina rounds out the list and top-25 in the final ranked spot.

Here is a look at the complete preseason rankings from D1Baseball.
