Flavor Flav committed to funding the U.S. women’s water polo team, which is just amazing

The best Olympics story is here.

Flavor Flav is on the clock (sorry not sorry) to fund the United States women’s water polo team at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Seriously! This is a thing! Let me explain!

The rapper known for so much more than rapping was apparently reading an Instagram post from Maggie Steffens, a gold-medal winning water polo player for the United States. In the caption she had this to say: “Some may not know this, but most Olympians need a 2nd (or 3rd) job to support chasing the dream (myself included!) and most teams rely on sponsors for travel, accommodations, nutritional support, rent/lodging, and simply affording to live in this day and age. Especially female sports and female athletes.”

“We’ve had companies & amazing individuals support our sport alongside donors, USAWP & USOPC, but we always need more help,” she continued. :So leading into this Olympics, let’s continue to increase exposure of female teams & female athletes so they can continue to pursue their dreams & show the world what they do best”

The rapper responded with a message of his own:

AYYY YOOO,,, as a girl dad and supporter of all women’s sports – imma personally sponsor you my girl,,, whatever you need. And imma sponsor the whole team. My manager is in touch with your agent and imma use all my relationships and resources to help all y’all even more. That’s a FLAVOR FLAV promise.
Flav started sharing water polo stuff on his Instagram Story, so it sounds like he’s serious. And that is just the best.

A hat tip to People for this one.
