Tuesday was a busy day for the UNC basketball program and Hubert Davis.
It started with the Tar Heels receiving word that five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau will reclassify from 2024 to the 2023 class. It’s a big decision for Cadeau, who is one of the top players in the country at his position.
But he may not be the only 2024 prospect joining UNC early.
The Tar Heels are hosting five-star forward [autotag]Jarin Stevenson[/autotag] on Tuesday. He is a long-time UNC target and has also discussed reclassifying into 2023. If he does, UNC has a spot open.
Ahead of his visit, Stevenson talked to Travis Branham of 247Sports. Here is what he said about UNC:
North Carolina: “I am looking forward to hanging out with the coaches and seeing the facilities again. If there are players there then I am excited to hang with them and see what’s up. He’s a great coach and a great person, I know that. We talked a bit and he cares about his players. He has high morale and just a great person.”
The Tar Heels aren’t the only team involved with Stevenson. Virginia, Alabama, Missouri and Georgetown are also all in pursuit.
This visit will also be the last for Stevenson ahead of a decision that is likely coming by the end of summer per the article.
