The recruitment for five-star shooting guard Isiah Harwell is starting to heat up a little bit as we enter the back end of the 2023 year.
On Tuesday, Harwell made an announcement in his recruiting, cutting his list of 20 offers down to a top 9. He took to social media to reveal that he will be focusing on the following 9 teams: North Carolina, Gonzaga, Baylor, Houston, Texas, UCLA, Cal, Alabama, and Idaho State. Harwell is a top recruit who has drawn a lot of interest in his recruitment and will also now take some more visits.
He’s already been on UNC’s campus as well as Gonzaga’s, both for unofficial visits. He will take an official to Gonzaga in February and will likely schedule more down the line as well.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound guard is ranked No. 7 nationally, the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 1 player in the state of Utah per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
It would be a little surprising not to see him on North Carolina’s campus eventually. However, it’s hard to tell who the leader truly is in this recruitment as of right now.
