The North Carolina Tar Heels just locked in a key visit from a big recruiting target in the 2025 class. With North Carolina landing Derek Dixon last week, Hubert Davis and his staff officially got on the board with this recruiting cycle.
But they aren’t done just yet and have plenty of targets left to pursue. That includes five-star power forward Caleb Wilson who is among the top players in the class.
Wilson has visited UNC in the past and the Tar Heels are a serious threat in his recruitment. But as time has gone on, many believed UNC needed to do more and get another visit from the talented recruit.
That appears to be happening.
Wilson took to social media to announce that he will be making a visit to Chapel Hill this weekend to visit the basketball program. That’s a HUGE visit for Davis and his staff, giving them the chance to impress the recruit again.

The 6-foot-9, 205-pound Wilson has 24 offers in his recruitment but is focusing on Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Central Florida, Duke, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Southern California and Tennessee. He’s taken visits to programs already and was supposed to be at Alabama this weekend before canceling it.
Instead, he will be at North Carolina which plays into UNC’s favor.
Wilson is ranked No. 8 nationally, the No. 4 power forward, and the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
