Five-star prospect Chris Livingston on Wednesday announced that he has committed to play for head coach John Calipari at the University of Kentucky.
Livingston, the No. 6 recruit in the class of 2022, chose the Wildcats over Georgetown, LSU, Memphis and the NBA G League Ignite. He became the third five-star recruit to commit to Kentucky in the class of 2022, joining Shaedon Sharpe and Skyy Clarke.
He made the announcement on the official SportsCenter Twitter account.
Livingston, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward, averaged 31.1 points, 15.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 4.7 steals and 4.3 blocked shots last season at Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio. He was a runner-up for Mr. Basketball in the state.

Livingston also previously played for USA Basketball in the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, in which he was named the MVP after winning the gold medal. He recorded 23 points, six rebounds and two assists in the championship game.
The addition of Livingston, along with Sharpe and Clarke, gives Kentucky the lead for the No. 1 recruiting class in 2022. The program is also said to be in the running to land some of the other top prospects, such as Dereck Lively II, Cason Wallace and Adem Bona.
