Auburn has landed one of the best guards in the country. [autotag]Tahaad Pettiford[/autotag], a five-star prospect and the No. 3 point guard in the 2024 recruiting class, has committed to the Auburn Tigers.
He picked the Tigers over a final group of UCLA, Kansas, Kentucky, UConn, Ole Miss, and Seton Hall on Wednesday. The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder is Auburn’s second commit of the 2024 recruiting class, joining four-star center [autotag]Peyton Marshall[/autotag].
Pettiford is the No. 22 overall recruit and No. 3 point guard in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is the No. 2 player from New Jersey.
He is set to be the third-highest signee in program history, behind Jabari Smith and Sharife Cooper. His addition gives Auburn the No. 5 recruiting class in the country for the 2024 cycle.
Auburn’s work in the 2024 recruiting class is far from over. Four-star point guard Labaron Philon, the No. 1 player from Alabama, is set to commit on Friday and the Tigers are the favorites.
