Five-star linebacker Jonah Williams lists USC as one of his top 12 schools

This Texas-based linebacker is the No. 2 linebacker in the Class of 2025.

On Wednesday night, 2025 five-star prospect Jonah Williams announced his top 12 schools, with the USC Trojans strongly in the mix. Williams plays a mix of safety and linebacker in Texas. He stands at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, running a blazing 4.5 40-yard dash.

According to the 247Sports composite, Williams is rated as the No. 16 overall player in the 2025 class and the No. 2 athlete. On3 has Williams listed as a linebacker, where he is the No. 15 overall player and No. 2 linebacker in the class.

The Galveston (Texas) native out of Ball High School has a top 12 including Texas A&M, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, TCU, Arizona State and USC.

During Williams’ 2022 sophomore season, Williams recorded 59 tackles, three tackles for loss, and four interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. Getting his dynamic, high-level athleticism into the USC program would be just the thing the Trojans need, given how badly their defense has struggled in this 2023 season.
