Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels took a step forward in the recruitment for a big five-star guard on Saturday when Acaden Lewis made an update to his recruitment.
On Saturday, Lewis cut his list of 29 offers down to his final four and it’s a list filled with blue blood programs. He’s now down to North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, and UConn, focusing on those programs moving forward.
Following his cutdown, he talked to Paul Biancardi of ESPN to reveal why he picked the four.
“They each represent four of the biggest stages in college basketball, and I will have the opportunity to play early at each school.”
The list features four blue bloods and some tough competition overall for each of the programs. This will be a battle to watch as it hits the stretch run as Lewis has yet to set a commitment date.

The 6-foot-2, 170 combo guard is out of Washington, D.C. and is ranked No. 32 nationally, No. 4 combo guard and No. 1 player in D.C. per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
Lewis would be a huge get for the Tar Heels as they are still seeking their first commitment in the 2025 class. He’s scheduled to be on UNC’s campus for an official visit on the weekend of October 4th.
