[autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] and the Auburn Tigers’ 2024 haul is impressive already but it has the chance to improve drastically this week.
[autotag]Dylan Harper[/autotag], a five-star combo guard from Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey, is set to announce his commitment on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Auburn is among those schools in the running to earn his signature, joining Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Rutgers.
On3’s Jamie Shaw describes Harper as a “big guard” with a strong frame and good length. Shaw also says that Harper takes his time with the ball, and does not force shots. Shaw asked Harper why Auburn was in his top five, and he credits Pearl and the coaching staff’s ability to develop players.
“What I like about Auburn is how they develop guys and their culture,” Harper said in an interview with On3. They get people prepared for the next level and always win. They stand out because of the amount of draft picks I always see that go to Auburn.”
Harper knows what it takes to make it to the NBA. His father, Ron, was a part of the Chicago Bulls’ epic run in the 1990s, where he won five NBA Finals championships.
Harper is the No. 3 overall player in the nation for the 2024 cycle and is the No. 1 combo guard according to On3, 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. Auburn’s current class, which consists of four-star guards [autotag]Tahaad Pettiford[/autotag] and [autotag]Jakhi Howard[/autotag], is ranked No. 25 in the 247Sports rankings.
