Five-star EDGE Colin Simmons considering visit to Colorado for spring game

Five-star EDGE Colin Simmons has the #cubuffs on his radar

It’s another day and another report has risen of a five-star player having an interest in the Colorado Buffaloes. This is the world we live in with Deion Sanders running the show in Boulder.

According to a Thursday report by Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, 2024 five-star EDGE Colin Simmons is considering spring visits to Colorado and USC, and he already has a visit to Arizona State set (h/t 247Sports):

Simmons will be on spring break March 12-18 and during that week they’ll get out to Arizona State, his mother Monica McCarley tells 247Sports.

McCarley added that they think they’ll get to USC in March and Colorado’s spring game in April is on the radar.

Rivals, however, has LSU, TCU, Texas and Tennessee as the early favorites to land Simmons, the No. 3 overall player in Adam Gorney’s 2024 prospect rankings.

But with Simmons possibly visiting Colorado, there’s no reason to rule out the Buffs based on Coach Prime’s history with big-name recruits (such as Cormani McClain).

Simmons just put together an eye-popping highlight reel during his junior season at Duncanville High School in Texas.

Simmons has 43 total offers, but his consideration of visiting CU shows that his interest in the Buffs is significant.

The Buffs even being in the same discussion as programs such as Texas and LSU show how quickly things have changed.

Simmons could very well end up being the No. 1 overall player in the class of 2024, so if the Buffs can convince him to come to Boulder, this would be another massive get for Coach Prime.
