North Carolina’s 2023 recruiting class is set with three prospects signing with the Tar Heels for the upcoming season. For head coach Hubert Davis, his goal is to build on that class and the 2024 class with good ones in the future.
With the focus shifting to the 2025 cycle, the recruitment of some UNC targets, including five-star guard Isiah Harwell, is starting to pick up.
The Wasatch Academy (Utah) star has 19 offers and is hearing from some of the top programs, including UNC, Alabama and Houston. Harwell caught up with Jamie Shaw of On3 to talk about the teams that are contacting him the most. Here is what he said about UNC:
UNC: “This year, things didn’t go like they wanted, but they’re going to have a bounce-back year, as they always do. All the museums and the gyms, the history there, everything is just a cool experience. You can see that one of the greatest of all time (Michael Jordan) went there. That is the college he chose, so that speaks for itself.”
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard is still far away from making a decision, but it’s good news to see UNC mentioned in that article.
