Florida now has the inside track to the SEC East title after beating rival Georgia in Jacksonville on Saturday for the first time since 2016. It’s highly likely that the Gators will represent the division at the SEC Championship next month.
But it’s not a guarantee. Florida still has a few remaining games that present some challenges, and a couple of slip-ups could separate UF from a likely date with Alabama.
One of those comes this week against an Arkansas team that has vastly improved from a year ago. The Razorbacks hadn’t won a conference game since 2017 heading into the season, but first-year coach Sam Pittman has the squad at 3-3 heading down the stretch of the season.
