Five takeaways from LSU Basketball’s win over Ole Miss

The LSU Tigers were led by Trendon Watford with 21 points as the team took down Ole Miss 75-61 on Saturday.

LSU backcourt heating up

The backcourt of Thomas and Javonte Smart has been a dominant factor when LSU is on offense. Although Thomas had no points scored, Smart finished with 17 on 6-of-14 shooting.

Backup guard Eric Gaines came off the bench in place of Thomas and scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting in 28 minutes of action.

Even if Thomas is ineffective, the Tigers have solid bench players that can fill the void.

Ole Miss had a tough time stopping Smart and Gaines on the floor.
