Auburn gained plenty of ground on several players during the month of June, and could possibly keep that momentum going ahead of the 2023 season.
They plan to do that by getting one of the nation’s top defensive linemen on campus for a weekend visit.
[autotag]Kamarion Frankin[/autotag], a five-star DL from Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, has announced that he will be taking a weekend visit to Auburn during the week of July 26-27, a few days before the Tigers’ top targets congregate during Big Cat Weekend.
Franklin has been on campus twice this year, most recently visiting on June 9. During the visit, Auburn coaches told Franklin that they were going “all in” on him, and made it a point to express their desire to earn his commitment.
Franklin told Christian Clemente of Auburn Undercover that he has found a connection with head coach Hugh Freeze and defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett during the recruiting process.
“Just the people,” Franklin told Auburn Undercover. “Everybody, good people out here. Coach Freeze, Coach (Jeremy) Garrett are both Mississippi guys. With me being a Mississippi guy we connect really good.”
There are zero crystal balls for Franklin at the time of this post, but On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine names Tennessee as the current favorite, as they forecast a 73.2% chance for the Volunteers to land him.
Franklin is a 6-5, 265-pound defensive lineman. He ranks No. 30 nationally for the 2024 class and is the No. 6 defensive lineman in the nation.
