One of the main things that college football fans love to look at each week of the season is various rankings released by media outlets and media personalities.
While we track the Associated Press Poll, the US LBM Coaches Poll, and the latest updates according to the ESPN Football Power Index, it’s always good to get a name behind the rankings as well. For that reason, we often look to FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt after big weeks in the sport to see how he views the national landscape.
To nobody’s surprise, the Pac-12 teams in the nation fair well after their impressive week on the gridiron.
Before the start of the season, Klatt had the Oregon Ducks ranked No. 12 in his poll, a few spots ahead of where Dan Lanning and his squad landed in the various other polls. After Week 1, though, and the Ducks’ 81-7 drubbing of Portland State, we wanted to check in and see if Oregon moved up at all in Klatt’s mind.
