In his rookie season in the NBA, star San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama has accomplished a historic raft of accomplishments in his inaugural campaign in the Association. Winner of the league’s 2024 Rookie of the Year award, Wemby also came in second overall in the Defensive Player of the Year award, and was the first rookie and youngest player to ever be named to the All-Defensive First Team.
The Le Chesnay native put up 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.6 blocks per game over the course of the NBA’s 2023-24 regular season while shooting 46.5% from the floor overall, 32.5% from beyond the arc, and 79.6% from the free throw line.
But very few things Wemby did last season compare to his absurd dunks, which the Spurs’ official YouTube channel recently published a five-minute highlight reel of the best of Wembanyama’s flushes from his rookie season.
