Football is a game of attrition, which means that any player can miss snaps at any time. For the Oklahoma Sooners, their success for the upcoming season will depend on the health of quarterback Spencer Rattler. However, if he misses any time for any reason then the backup must be ready to lead the team. In the spring game, Caleb Williams needs to take full advantage of the opportunities. Not to mention if Rattler leaves following the season as expected, it will be his show in 2022.

Nail Down the Offensive Line

The Sooners have a firm hold on the two offensive guard positions in Marquis Hayes at left guard and Tyrese Robinson at right guard. They both return as starters from last year’s squad. The left tackle is expected to be manned by Tennesee transfer Wanya Morris leaving the center and right tackle spots up for grabs. Chris Murray and Robert Congel are battling to replace Creed Humphrey. At the same time, Erik Swenson and Anton Harrison will battle it out to be the right tackle.
