The Indianapolis Colts announced prior to kickoff that five players will be inactive for their Week 15 matchup with the Denver Broncos.
QB Sam Ehlinger
DE Isaiah Land
S Darren Hall
WR Ashton Dulin
G Atonio Mafi
Each week, teams are permitted to have just 48 players active on gamedays. With Braden Smith on the reserve/non-football illness list, the Colts have just 52 players on their 53-man roster, but they elevated Mark Glowinski from the practice squad for this game–giving them 53 players who could potentially be active.
The good news is that Josh Downs, Tyquan Lewis, and Mo Alie-Cox are all available. All three players were questionable for today’s game.
As has been the case all season when both Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco are healthy, Sam Ehlinger will be inactive, although he is available if needed as the emergency quarterback.
Isaiah Land being inactive has been the norm this season when the Colts are healthy at defensive end as they primarily rely on a four man rotation at that position.
Darren Hall has been inactive since he was claimed off waivers prior to the Colts’ Week 10 matchup with Buffalo. There are still four other safeties on the roster who will be available, which is how many the Colts have had active on gamedays all season.
Dulin was ruled out on Friday as he still works through an ankle injury and with the elevation of Glowinski along with Tanor Bortolini being available after missing Week 13, the Colts have enough interior offensive line depth, making Mafi inactive.
