Oregon comes into this game on a role. After losing 49-3 in their season opener, the Ducks have rolled off 8 wins in a row including a 49-10 dismantling of Colorado on Saturday. They come into this game as the only undefeated team in Pac-12 conference play and they look to solidify their hold atop the conference at home in Eugene.

Washington, with transfer QB Michael Pennix behind center, have been far better than in recent seasons. Not only has the offense found a scheme which works, but the new coaching staff has been able to develop a culture lacking since the retirement of coach Chris Peterson. After a close 24-21 win against Oregon State on Friday, the Huskies look to stay in the Pac-12 race with a victory over the Ducks.

Washington vs. Oregon head-to-head

2-3 graphs looking at recent head-to-head records, key facts

Oregon has owned this rivalry in recent season. Although not playing in 2020, these teams have played in 3 of the last 4 seasons and the Ducks have been victorious each time.

The 2022 brings entirely different coaching staffs and quarterbacks to this game and the offenses will be much better than the ones put out in the 26-16 victory from a season ago.

Bo Nix, coming off a game with 2 passing, 2 rushing and 1 receiving TD against Colorado will look to show he is a true Heisman contender in the Oregon Ducks next biggest game of the season. He has transformed this season under offensive coordinator Kyle Dillingham, and he will look to continue proving his doubters wrong.

For Washington, Michael Pennix, its own transfer QB, looks to continue his own strong season as he leads the Huskies to a hopeful upset victory on Saturday.
