First Look: Washington adds Big Ten patch to jerseys

The Big Ten move is coming up quickly, and Washington’s jerseys finally reflect it.

This is going to take a lot of getting used to.

As Washington’s move to the Big Ten continues to draw closer, the Huskies’ uniforms finally reflect the school’s new conference.

On Wednesday, some of coach Jedd Fisch’s new stars, including quarterback Will Rogers, running back Jonah Coleman, and cornerback Ephesians Prysock took to social media to share pictures of themselves in full uniform, and for the first time, a Big Ten patch was sewn on the uniform while they were presumably posing for Washington’s annual photo day.

Rogers appeared to be one of the stars of the day, as the quarterback was photographed by multiple teammates wearing as many chains as he could possibly fit around his neck, reminiscent of a viral picture of Michael Penix Jr.’s new teammate, Kirk Cousins.

The Big Ten is going to bring a lot of new things with it outside of just new patches: new rivalries, more revenue down the road, and a good chance to make the expanded College Football Playoff. It’s also going to bring a much different travel schedule, where the Huskies are projected to travel 8,290 miles during the football season.
