First look: UNLV at Notre Dame odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s UNLV at Notre Dame college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-3) welcome the UNLV Rebels (4-3) to Notre Dame Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET (Peacock). Below, we look at UNLV vs. Notre Dame odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our college football picks and predictions.

UNLV is coming into this game following an embarrassing 42-7 loss to Air Force. With a 40-7 loss to San Jose State the week prior, confidence in the Rebels camp likely isn’t high.

UNLV is captained by coach Marcus Arroyo, who came into the season with a 2-16 record as the program’s leader. With 13 total touchdowns, QB Doug Brumfield has been the key player for UNLV.

Notre Dame, on the other hand, after getting destroyed by Ohio State and then taken down by Marshall to start the season, has won 3 of its last 4 games. It has taken down teams like BYU and UNC.

The Fighting Irish are coached by Marcus Freeman, who is in his first season as the team’s top leader. They’ve allowed more than 21 points in just 2 of 6 games this season.

UNLV vs. Notre Dame head-to-head

With UNLV in the Mountain West Conference and Notre Dame independent, it is not shocking that these teams have never met before.

Notre Dame under Freeman, who is a long-time coach on the defensive side of the ball, allows just 22 points per game, ranking 36th of 131 FBS programs. Its offense has done little to help its cause this season.

For UNLV, Brumfield is a stud, but RB Aidan Robbins has also done well, totaling 591 rushing yards. The Rebels are huge underdogs, partly due to being on the road and partly because they haven’t been tested either, ranking 115th in strength of schedule.
