The two teams have only faced one another 13 times in their history. The Vikings hold a slight 7-6 edge all-time.
It has been so even that the two sides alternated wins and losses over the first 12 meetings. That streak stopped with the Vikings’ second straight win against the Chargers in 2019, a 39-10 blowout, after they beat the Chargers 31-14 in 2015.
Herbert has never faced the Vikings in his career, as he is only in his second season.
Cousins is 1-1 in two career games against the Chargers. He has 358 passing yards, two touchdown passes and two interceptions.
