The Ball State Cardinals (0-1) will face their second SEC team of the season when they visit the No.1 Georgia Bulldogs (1-0) Saturday. Kickoff from Sanford Stadium is at noon ET (SEC Network). Below, we look at Ball State vs. Georgia odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s college football picks and predictions.
Ball State lost 44-14 at Kentucky in its opener, failing to cover as a 25-point underdog as the Over (49) cashed. The Cardinals will almost certainly drop a 2nd straight game vs. an SEC opponent and will mainly hope to get out of this game healthy as they prepare for easier opponents in future weeks.
Georgia stomped Tennessee-Martin 48-7 but failed to cover as a 51-point favorite in its opener as the Under (56.5) cashed. The Bulldogs will look to get another victory under their belt in this Week 2 matchup before starting their SEC schedule against South Carolina in Week 3.
Georgia’s new starting QB Carson Beck did not overwhelm in its opener, but his 294 passing yards with 1 touchdown was enough to get the Bulldogs the emphatic win. It will also be more than enough in this game.
Georgia will not be tested until it faces Tennessee in November. To be seen as the best, it will need to dominate all of its opponents. It did so in Week 1 and Week 2 will be another lop-sided one for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.
Georgia is No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Ball State vs. Georgia head-to-head
Georgia routinely starts its season with a MAC team in the first few games. Last season, the victim was Kent State who lost to the Bulldogs 39-22. This season it is the Ball State Cardinals who are the sacrificial lamb.
Saturday will mark the first time these two programs have ever met.
