First injury report for Chargers ahead of matchup vs. Chiefs

The Chargers had four non-participants to begin the week’s preparation for the Chiefs.

The Chargers had their first practice of the week in preparation for the Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs.

Edge defender Joey Bosa (ankle and foot), cornerback Chris Harris Jr., safety Derwin James (toe) and defensive lineman Justin Jones were all non-participants.

Head coach Brandon Staley said that Wednesday would be a “precautionary” rest day for James and Bosa.

As for Harris and Jones, both players missed last Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with should and calf injuries, respectively.

Staley said he expects Jones to return to practice later in the week, while Harris’ return remains to be seen.
