First half highlights: Seahawks trail 49ers 14-10

Closer than expected

The Seattle Seahawks are locked in a better-than-expected showdown with the San Francisco 49ers. Despite being +14.5 point underdogs, Seattle is giving the 49ers a run for their money in the first half.

San Francisco started the game strong in two plays, scoring an opening drive touchdown. However, Drew Lock and the Seahawks offense responded in a big way with a touchdown of their own. DK Metcalf showed why he is only of the most unique receivers in the NFL.

Seattle’s defense has played strong, giving this 49ers offense more resistance than they have faced in a long time. An interception from Julian Love and a sack from Jarran Reed helped slow down Brock Purdy and Co.

The Seahawks were able to hold the high powered 49ers offense to only two scores, both on explosive plays. Unfortunately, following the first quarter Seattle’s offense has faltered.

Drew Lock and Co. will get the ball to start the second half. Hopefully some adjustments have been made to pull off the unthinkable upset.
