‘Fire Nagy’ chants broke out at Soldier Field as the Bears lost their 5th straight game

Bears fans have seen enough.

The Chicago Bears are a mess right now, and the seat is only going to get hotter for head coach Matt Nagy.

He’s certainly feeling that heat now after hearing Sunday’s crowd at Soldier Field.

Heading into Sunday’s Week 11 matchup with the Ravens on a four-game losing streak, it looked like the kind of game that the Bears could’ve stolen. Lamar Jackson was out with an illness. The Ravens secondary was also thin. And even after Justin Fields left the game with a rib injury, the Bears found themselves leading with under two minutes to play.

Well, that was enough time for Tyler Huntley to lead Baltimore on a day 72-yard touchdown drive to take the lead, handing the Bears their fifth straight loss. After that, Bears fans had seen enough. The crowd erupted in a “Fire Nagy” chant as the final seconds ticked off the clock.

Ouch.

The Bears haven’t won a playoff game in three-plus seasons under Nagy. They’ve regressed in every one of his seasons, which is never a good sign for a head coach. If the losing streak continues, it’s hard to imagine anything but a regime change in Chicago.

Judging from Sunday’s crowd, they’d be OK with that.
