Final Week 17 Bucs Injury Report: Three players ruled out

The Bucs will be down two defensive starters and a tight end for Sunday’s matchup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will officially be without three players when they face off against the New Orleans Saints at home in Week 17.

The team’s injury report on Friday revealed that every player who did not participate for three straight days — cornerback Carlton Davis, edge rusher Shaquil Barrett and tight end Ko Kieft — will not play. Wideout Rakim Jarrett and defensive tackle Mike Greene were full participants, but they still were not able to make it off of the Injured Reserve list before Sunday’s matchup.

As a result of Barrett’s injury, both Anthony Nelson and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka will see more reps at edge rusher. Head coach Todd Bowles did not specify which player would get the most of those reps.

On New Orleans’ side, safety Lonnie Johnson and tackle Ryan Ramczyk are both ruled out. The Saints have five other players questionable, with two of them — including running back Alvin Kamara — added late due to illness.
