Michigan football is but mere days away from kicking off the 2021 season, and while the offense is brimming with returning starters from last year, the defense had some big changes.

Yes, there are still a lot of returning production, but with all but one of the coaching staff being new to the team this year, you can expect to see some different faces take the field. With Mike Macdonald serving as the team’s new defensive coordinator, the team is moving to more of a 3-4 base — though he admits it will be a multiple look up front, even still.

With that in mind, based off what we heard at media availability throughout fall camp, here are the players we expect to see on defense in 2021.
