Final Jets vs. Ravens injury report: Duane Brown out, Ravens’ Ronnie Stanley doubtful

Duane Brown out for the Jets, Ronnie Stanley doubtful for the Ravens

The final injury report is out for the Jets’ Week 1 meeting with the Baltimore Ravens and both teams may be without their starting left tackles.

The Jets will for sure be without theirs. Head coach Robert Saleh announced Friday that Duane Brown will not play Sunday with a shoulder injury. It’s yet to be determined if Brown will have to be placed on injured reserve, which would mean he would miss at least four games. George Fant will start at left tackle and Max Mitchell will be at right tackle.

As for the Ravens, left tackle Ronnie Stanley is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury. However, he was upgraded to a limited participant in practice Friday after missing practice Thursday. If Stanley can’t go, the Ravens will turn to Ja’Wuan James in his place.

The rest of the Jets injury report sees Fant (knee), DB Justin Hardee (calf), OL Conor McDermott (ankle) and CB DJ Reed (knee) all listed as questionable but all were full practice participants Friday. Remember, there is no longer a “probable” designation. QB Zach Wilson is also listed as out. That’s obvious, but because he is still on the active roster, he is listed on the injury report as a formality.

For the Ravens, defensive tackle Travis Jones is out with a knee injury. RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) and CB Marcus Peters (knee) are questionable. Dobbins was limited all week but may still play. Peters was limited Wednesday and Thursday and did not practice Friday as he was given a rest day.

Saturday update: Ronnie Stanley has been ruled out for Sunday. The team made the decision Saturday. It will indeed be James getting the start at left tackle.
