Final game grades, report card for Oklahoma-Baylor

The game is never as good or as bad as it looks initially. Here are the final game grades, report card after rewatching Oklahoma and Baylor.

NOSE TACKLE — B-

Neville Gallimore — B
Marquise Overton — C

Neville Gallimore got some pressure and had a couple nice plays. Hard to ding him for much.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE — C+

LaRon Stokes — C+
Jalen Redmond — B-

Didn’t notice much here from a production standpoint, but did notice Jalen Redmond out there.

DEFENSIVE END — A+

Ronnie Perkins — A+
Marcus Stripling — N/A

Ronnie Perkins can be Oklahoma’s best defensive end since ____ ?

RUSH — B-

Nik Bonitto — B-
David Ugwoegbu — N/A

You get a two-grade level bump for a game-winning interception.

WILL — C

DaShaun White — C

Didn’t feel his impact until later on in the game. Still believe the athleticism will match his production as time goes on.

MIKE — C+

Kenneth Murray — C+

Kenneth Murray’s flashes were dimmed by over-running rushing lanes. The athleticism is off the chart, but his play needs to start matching it all the time.

CORNER — B

Tre Brown — C+
Parnell Motley — B+
Jaden Davis — N/A

This was easily Parnell Motley’s better games at Oklahoma. Him and Brown tackled well in space, but Motley made so many impact plays.

NICKELBACK — C

Brendan Radley-Hiles — C

Bookie would’ve had a C+ if it weren’t for the slant he gave up on third down. No harm done, but nothing like the Iowa State game.

SAFETY — B

Pat Fields — B
Delarrin Turner-Yell — B

What a bounce back from these two. From playing maybe the worst game a pair of safeties have played at Oklahoma, they turned in an incredibly sound, solid outing and didn’t hurt Alex Grinch’s defense.

DEFENSE — 80

Again, a tale of two halves, but Ronnie Perkins’ performance saves this defense from a mid-C. For the defense’s sake, that second half needs to be a revelation.
