UFC president Dana White still isn’t revealing the location of the infamous “Fight Island,” but that isn’t stopping his company from capitalizing on the interest in the mysterious venture.
You didn’t think the company was going to go to the trouble of securing a trademark without proving some merchandise, did you?
In fact, with the recent release of a handful of new designs, the UFC now offers an entire line of “Fight Island” gear, some even boasting of a “Location Unknown.”
If you’re looking for something a little more subtle, check out this design, which features a nod to reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and his legendary response to Conor McGregor: “Just send location.”
Here, the message is etched on a scroll, presented as a message in a bottle:
White said that by next week, he’s hoping he’ll have a better idea when the UFC will first use the mysterious location to host events designed to showcase international fighters while global travel restrictions remain in place. But until the infrastructure is complete, he doesn’t want to reveal the location.
“The fans and the media have run away with this thing,” White said Friday. “We’re not saying anything about ‘Fight Island’ until we have some damn good images of ‘Fight Island.’”
In the meantime, it looks like we’re going to have to settle for T-shirts.
Or a beach ball.
Or a koozie.
Could UFSEA gear be next?
