Field-level video of SoFi Stadium’s Oculus is the best look yet

The Oculus looks even bigger from field level at SoFi Stadium.

Whenever SoFi Stadium opens, it’s going to set the bar extremely high for future venues around the world. It’s a state-of-the-art building that will cost $5 billion when it’s all said and done, making it the most expensive stadium in the NFL.

There are a lot of features that make it iconic, including the swooping canopy and translucent roof, but the “Oculus” video board, as it’s called, is by far the most recognizable. It’s the first of its kind, spanning 120 yards long and featuring screens on both sides of the ring.

Recently, the workers at SoFi Stadium tested the Oculus out and the results were incredible. It’s truly one of a kind, and will give fans in attendance a spectacular viewing experience.

On Tuesday, the SoFi Stadium Twitter account shared another look at the video screen from field level, which really puts the size of it into perspective.

There’s still work to be done on the Oculus, particularly on the screens at each end of it, but it’s easy to see why everyone within the organization is so excited about the eventual opening of SoFi Stadium.

Speaking of its open date, that was supposed to be happening in late July for a Taylor Swift concert, but Swift has canceled her entire tour for 2020. So the next event on the calendar at SoFi Stadium is a Kenny Chesney concert in August.

The NFL will release its 2020 schedule on Thursday night, which will also include the home opener for the Rams at their new building.
