FIBA World Cup: Steve Kerr, Team USA record win over Greece to move to 2-0 in Group C

With a win over Greece on Monday, Steve Kerr and Team USA are 2-0 in Group C of the FIBA World Cup.

After a win over New Zealand in the FIBA World Cup opener, Team USA moved on to its next opponent in Group C, an early morning contest against Greece on Monday.

Following a strong closing effort against New Zealand on Saturday, Steve Kerr’s Team USA picked up right where it left off on Monday morning against Greece.

Behind another balanced effort with every player scoring, Team USA ran past Greece, 109-81. Austin Reaves continued his breakout summer with a team-high 15 points off the bench for Team USA. Reaves stuffed the box score with six assists, five rebounds and two steals.

Anthony Edwards, Bobby Portis and Jalen Brunson all added double-figure scoring efforts. New York Knicks wing Josh Hart registered 11 rebounds off the bench.

With a win over Greece, Team USA has clinched a spot in the second round of the FIBA World Cup. Before moving on to the second round, Team USA will meet Jordan for their final Group C contest on Wednesday.
